This course explores how managers and leaders can best make effective decisions regarding their work.

Strategies and skills for effective decision making are explored in this practical workshop. Practical guidelines in the steps to take in decision making are identified. This is a practical course that can be applied in the workplace

Learning Outcomes
1.Identify decision outcomes required including action components
2. Establish three outcome dimensions of the decision in terms of must-haves, desirable-to- have and must-not-haves
3. Rank decision judgement criteria and establish criteria weightings
4. Use techniques to generate alternative options including team involvement
5. Measure options against criteria and identify best options
6. Identify risks associated with best options
7. Select option
8. Plan towards implementation of decision
