The Frontline Management Institute (FMI) is a specialist organisation whose mission is to help people and organisations achieve success through improving the performance of people and developing the effectiveness of management systems. We provide training and development services for corporate training for frontline managers, managers, team members and trainers and assessors.

Our focus is on performance, both individual performance and corporate performance. We remain true to the original vision of the Frontline Management Initiative, which was to develop performance levels in work situations rather than deliver standard training courses simply relabelled. On a corporate level this means that organisations have a measurable return on investment for the learning and development..

The Frontline Management Institute was founded in 1999 to help implement the vision of the Frontline Management Initiative, which aimed to develop the competency and performance of frontline managers in adding value to business and government organisations. It is a Registered Training Organisation meeting strict quality standards against which it is audited. FMI issues internationally recognised Diplomas and Certificates.

We have a dedicated team of consultants, trainers, assessors, program designers and logistics specialists who help us give consistent levels of service to clients. We maintain professional training management logistics and knowledge management systems. Through our web based training arrangements with Skillsoft, the global leader in web-based training, we provide access to the latest state of the art computer based training..

FMI is a specialist division of Network One Communications, www.networkonecomm.com founded in 1985, which is a training design and management organisation, noted for its successful design of the training packages that developed the skills of 15,000 transport volunteers who helped make the Sydney Olympic Games such a resounding success.

Clients of our organisations include Bovis Lend Lease, BOC, NRMA Insurance, BT, Johnson & Johnson, CAPRAL, Zurich, Westpac, ATO and over 100 organisations in commerce, industry, transport, government, as well as small to medium business and the not-for-profit sector.

Delivery Locations

Our Head Office is in Sydney, Australia and we deliver training solutions both locally and globally. Face to face training is delivered currently in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland in New Zealand. Through our customer partnerships training can be delivered globally. We deliver to USA, UK, Singapore, China and Europe through our internet and web-based delivery.

Quality Standards

The Frontline Management Institute is a Registered Training Organisation, which means it has demonstrated it can meet and maintain strict Quality Control Standards set out in the AQTF. Because of this FMI can issue recognised Qualifications of Diplomas, Certificates and Statements of Attainment. We do this through our training and assessment processes and alternatively, where appropriate, by Recognition Processes (RPL and RCC) where we assess and recognise a participant’s competency leading to the issuing of recognised qualifications without need for attending courses. Our systems are quality based and are regularly audited, both externally and internally, against the standards.
